Born the troubled son of Belgian butter magnate, Wilhelm Anuldsen, David Acer’s father moved to Canada shortly after the war in the hopes of forgetting the terrible tragedies that were the warp and woof of Butter Society. It was here that Wilhelm founded the Anuldsen Wig & Poultry Co., and ultimately met and spawned with the nameless secretary that was to produce him a son. Now, some 30 years later, that son has rejected all things greasy in favour of a varied career in the arts.

Dividing his time fairly equally between stand-up comedy and close-up magic, David spends about 6 months of the year on the road doing either one or the other. With recent appearances on GLOBAL’s Urban Magic , A&E’s Comedy on the Road , NHK Japan’s F.I.S.M. 2000 , CTV’s Open Mike with Mike Bullard , ABC’s America’s Funniest People , SHOWTIME’s The Hunger , DISCOVERY’s Grand Illusions , CBC’s Just For Laughs , and the list goes on, his innovative comedy and close-up magic have been seen around the world!

Beyond that, he’s a columnist for Genii, a consultant for The Camirand Academy, a writer and one of three leads on the forthcoming Discovery series, Mystery Hunters , and his first two books, Natural Selections, Volumes I and II were both critically acclaimed best-sellers!
